LET’S REIMAGINE: The Future of Sonoma Valley
A gathering in the inspired Haus of Hommeboys showroom to develop a shared vision for the future of Sonoma Valley through the lens of design and connectivity.
The evening will begin with a reflection led by architect Ned Forrest on the Genius Loci Sonoma, the soul of Sonoma Valley, asking what places in Sonoma Valley are sacred to each of us. By identifying the sacred qualities of these locations and placing them on a map, our collective input can influence both the County and the City of Sonoma's General Plans.
Sedra Nathan will share the work that is already underway regarding these plans, including an introduction to the concept of Greenlinks Infrastructure. These are important policy decisions that will determine how our region addresses the housing affordability crisis and connect our deeply segregated communities over the next 20 years.
The evening will serve as an entry point to integrated community design and a framework for civic engagement that will enable The Future Collective to shape the built and natural environment of Sonoma Valley, with opportunities to learn as a group and to spend time in discussion throughout the dynamic space.
The Future Collective is designed to cultivate Sonoma Valley’s new generation of community leaders sponsored by Catalyst Fund. The Future Collective is curating opportunities to learn, build relationships, and generate ideas to help people determine how to better act on their commitment to the future of Sonoma Valley.
